Scott Murphy has an office right here in downtown Glens Falls! It's on the right as you're heading towards the river. I don't even know if he's a Republican or a Democrat. I don't think it really matters. I can describe Scott in three words:

Our devoted Congressman is part of why this area is such a great place to live! If you are having a problem with veteran's benefits, the IRS, or other federal agencies, Scott Murphy's office can see to it that you are treated fairly. The IRS was coming after me for money I'd already paid them. I had the canceled checks to prove it, but if you've ever dealt with the IRS, you know how difficult it can be to get issues resolved. They came after me repeatedly, making threats, accusing me of ignoring them, even after I'd sent the checks to them twice by certified mail. I was in tears over these problems several times until Scott Murphy's office intervened and got me assigned to a responsible person in the Albany Taxpayer Advocates Office. It took months, but Scott Murphy's office pursued justice relentlessly for me and did not rest until I not only the IRS stopped threatening me, but I had received my refund check. Yes, after all that, the IRS owed *me*. Scott's office made sure I got the check, too. They were not satisfied with the IRS just saying they were going to do something. They made sure they did it.
Besides federal agencies,
Scott's website also offers help for struggling homeowners and small businesses. If Scott's office can't help you, they will tell you who can. Scott's team will see to it that you are treated fairly and justice is served. Thanks to Scott, I have hope for this country, and he'll always get my vote, regardless of what party endorses him.
